UK based Flight Calibration Service (FCSL) has established a new Irish AOC ‘Flight Calibration Services Europe Ltd’ using an Diamond DA-62 registered as EI-TCN msn 62-044 formerly G-TACN. The company is designated IAA Specialised operations (SPO) operator.
The aircraft is allocated callsign ‘VOR 7’ or ‘VOR 9’.
FCSL performs flight check of ILS systems in the UK and Ireland every six months and other navigation systems including NDB, PAR, RADARs (PSR and MSSR)) RNAV, GNSS, GPS, and SBAS Validation.
In January 2021 FCSL announced the signature of a long term Contract with the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) to Flight Check all their Navaids Country-wide including Cork, Dublin and Shannon Airports. In February 2021 FCSL announced the signature of a Flight Check Contract with Donegal Airport for a further term.
In Northern Ireland FSCL signed contracts with Belfast International Airport in 2020 for an extension to their existing Flight Inspection Contract and City of Derry Airport for nav aids.
Flightradar24 data reveals the aircraft has been operating at Ireland West Airport Knock, Kerry Airport and Waterford Airport. The aircraft has been operating across Europe in Beja (BYJ), Brighton City (ESH), Cascais (CAT), Faro (FAO) and Lydd (LYX).
FCSL owns and operates a fleet of five Diamond DA-62 and two Piper PA-31 aircraft
