Ethiopian Airlines 15th Boeing 737-8 MAX transited Dublin Airport 14-15 January 2024 on delivery . The aircraft registered ET-BAN msn 62459 callsign ‘ETH9201’ arrived 1725 local direct from Paine field departing next day 0609 local under same callsign direct to Addis Ababa.
The aircraft entered service 15 January operating ETH939/8 to and from N’Djamena (NDJ), Chad.
Ethiopian Airlines Group, the fastest-growing global airline brand and the continent’s largest airline, has signed deals to purchase a total of 84 aircraft at the Dubai Airshow. Ethiopian has agreed to order 11 787 Dreamliner and 20 737 MAX aicraft with an opportunity for 15 and 21 additional aircraft, respectively, from Boeing, making the total order size with Boing to 67 aircraft for delivery between 2026 and 2030.
