Dublin-based Avia Solutions Group one of the world’s largest ACMI providers operating a fleet of 180 aircraft, has acquired its first aircraft for new UK carrier Ascend Airways following acquisition of Synergy Aviation AOC last year in preparation for commencing operations this spring.
German Aviation Skyliner Aviation reported G-HODL Boeing 737-82R msn 38175 Ascend Airways ferried Glasgow Prestwick to East Midlands for painting on 8th February, formerly registered as LY-BUS to sister group company Lithuanian based KlasJet.
Ascend Airways is expected to operate two Boeing 737s in 2024 and has committed to lease a 2022-build Boeing 737 MAX 8, scheduled for delivery in Q1 2024, based at London Gatwick Airport and London-Southend Airport according to its website.
